How Long Do Feminized Seeds Grow Outdoors?☀️Updated 5 hours ago

Feminized photoperiod seeds rely on the natural light cycle to determine when they flower. Outdoors, they will:

  • Grow in the vegetative stage during spring and summer, while days are long.

  • Begin flowering as days get shorter, usually toward the end of summer or early fall.

  • Be ready to harvest in the fall, depending on the strain’s flowering time.

Can They Grow Year-Round? 🌱

Photoperiod feminized seeds will not grow continuously for 11–12 months outdoors. They naturally flower once the light cycle shifts to around 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. This is what triggers them to finish their life cycle.

How to Extend the Vegetative Phase 🌿

  • Plant later in the season to shorten veg time and keep plants smaller.

  • Plant earlier in the spring to give them several months of veg growth before flowering begins naturally.

  • In some climates, light deprivation or supplemental lighting can also manipulate the cycle.

So, with feminized photoperiod seeds outdoors, you can expect a few months of veg growth followed by flowering and harvest once the seasons change.
