Why Are My LSD Feminized Plants Flowering Early and Growing Unevenly?Updated 12 hours ago

If you're growing LSD photoperiod feminized seeds and seeing huge differences in plant size — and even early flowering just 8 weeks after breaking soil — you're not alone. Here's what could be happening and how to adjust.

🧬 Why Are My Plants Different Sizes?

  • Phenotype variation is normal in hybrid strains like LSD — some plants lean more Indica (short and bushy), others more Sativa (tall and stretchy).

  • Environmental differences (even in the same bed or tent) like light intensity, root space, or watering patterns can also cause major growth gaps.

🌸 Why Are They Flowering Already?
LSD is a photoperiod strain, meaning it normally won’t flower until nights reach 12+ hours of darkness. But early flowering in spring could point to:

  • Light stress or inconsistent lighting (especially if grown indoors and moved outside too early)

  • Insufficient daylight during early veg stage — a common issue with March outdoor starts

  • Shock from transplant or cold temps — can trigger early flowering as a survival response

Will They Make It to September?
If your LSD plants are already producing trichomes and forming buds, they’ve likely gone into early flowering and may finish well before fall — potentially by late June to early July. Yields may be reduced, but buds should still be viable.

🔧 How to Prevent This Next Time

  • Start photoperiods indoors under 18/6 light and don’t move them outside until mid-May (when natural daylight hits 14+ hours).

  • For earlier harvests without light stress, consider autoflowers instead — they don’t rely on day length and are ideal for spring starts.

  • If you want a September harvest with photoperiods, make sure they veg through May–July, then flower in August through October naturally.
